October MTB Coaching Sessions – Progress Your Riding This Autumn

This October, Clancy Briggs Cycling Academy brings you two exciting opportunities to develop your Mountain Bike (MTB) skills at Sherwood Pines and Greno Woods. Across two dates at Sherwood and a dedicated masterclass at Greno, we’ve got something for every rider—whether you’re just starting out or ready to take on serious trail challenges.

Sherwood Pines MTB Coaching – Thursday 23rd & Thursday 30th October 2025

Our Sherwood Pines sessions offer a full progression pathway, from first pedalling to advanced trail techniques. Riders can book half-day, full-day, or introductory sessions depending on age and ability.

Trailblazer Pedal (Thursday 30/10/25 – 10:00–11:30)

  • Ages 4–10 (new to MTB, able to pedal)
  • Focus: Core riding skills such as braking, balance, standing on the pedals, and basic turns
  • A fun, supportive session to build confidence and enjoyment on the trails

Blue Group (Thursday 23/10/25 & Thursday 30/10/25)

  • Morning: 10:00–12:30
  • Afternoon: 13:30–16:00
  • Ages approx. 6–14, developing trail riders
  • Focus: Berms, pump tracks, ramps, fun challenges, and trail confidence
  • Riders can book either a half-day or combine both sessions for a full day (with packed lunch in between)

Red Group (Thursday 23/10/25 & Thursday 30/10/25 – 10:00–16:00)

  • Ages approx. 10–16, more experienced riders
  • Full-day coaching with an emphasis on progressing beyond the Blue group skills
  • Focus: Speed management, line choice, jumping techniques, and riding with confidence on more demanding terrain

Greno Woods MTB Coaching – Wednesday 29th October 2025

For riders ready to step up from Sherwood, our Greno Woods masterclass is a natural progression. It’s aimed at confident trail riders who are already comfortable on red-graded trails and want to push their technical skills further.

  • Date & Time: Wednesday 29/10/25 – 10:00–16:00
  • Ability Level: Riders aged around 12–16 (ability-based, not strictly age-based)
  • Focus: Advanced technical riding—jump progression, steep berms, flat turns, dynamic body movement, and trail flow
  • Requirements: Must already be capable of riding red trails with confidence Be able to manual/wheelie for at least 1 metre Confident over small gap jumps (approx. 4 ft) Knee and elbow pads are mandatory (alongside a well-maintained MTB and helmet)
